Thanksgiving in Florida

Can you believe it's December?? I can't, it feels like just yesterday we were having turkey and stuffing. This year we did Thanksgiving a little different....we went to Florida. We thought we would be able to show Ava the beach and enjoy some warm weather, however, although it was nice(70's) it was not warm enough to swim. We stayed at a hotel in Clearwater for two days which had a nice pool and waterfall....Ava was not happy she couldn't jump in. She did enjoy spending time with G-ma and G-pa Carron.
At first Ava did not understand the sand. She stayed up on her toes, and continuously wiped it off her hands, but before too long she was digging, throwing, and sitting in it!
Before leaving Clearwater to head to Hernando to visit my grandparents we did take Ava to the beach so she could "touch" the ocean. Here are my two children....I can't decide who requires more attention.
Ava loved picking up all the seashells!

We found a poor excuse for a sand castle and pointed it out to Ava...within seconds it was just a pile of sand.
I'm not sure if is was the wet sand or the cold water, but Ava did not want to come down from her toes until we were back on the dry warm sand.
After leaving Clearwater we headed to my grandparents house for Thanksgiving. It was recently my Grandfather's 80th Birthday so many family members came in town to celebrate. Unfortunately, we only got the camera out once or twice and the pics we took didn't turn out. Since the whole family was there (minus Kristy:( ) we made the announcement that Ava is going to be a big sister next June. We are very excited and can't wait to find out what it is!
We had a great trip and it was wonderful to see so many family members I hadn't seen in so long! Christmas is now just around the corner and hopefully we'll get some good pictures!!
