I don't even know where to start. Yes, it has been awhile since I posted anything, but sleeping has taken priority over the blog. Life is crazy with two kids....one would think the work would double but I think its more like quadrupled! Yesterday was the first time both girls were asleep at the same time for more than 15 minutes. This allowed me to begin the daunting task of going through 600+ pictures since Ella was born and determining which pics were "blog worthy". When I was pregnant numerous people told me that if your first child was difficult then the second would be easy...God's way of balancing things out. Well, I don't think the man upstairs paid close attention to Ava in her early stages of life. Ava had acid reflux, couldn't sleep on her back, and spent the first 3-4 months of life bouncing in the bathroom with the fan on. Ella has shown me that Ava was pretty easy.....Ella also has acid reflux, can't sleep on her back and after 6 weeks we discovered she may be lactose intolerant. However, now at 9 weeks old I feel as though we are getting things under control...with the help of soy formula. So after nine weeks of no updates below are some pics showing what we have been up to in all our spare time!
It didn't take Ella very long to figure out how to smile!Nor did it take us very long to figure out that Ella would be a pacifier baby.
Ava and Daddy have been spending a lot of time together...here they are washing Daddy's car.
Ava loves washing cars, being in charge of the hose is her favorite job.
Quick shot of me and my girls....in the same shot!
The first week home Ella showed no signs of the sleepless nights to come.
Ava and Ella bonding over a cup of milk and a pacifier.
At about two weeks old Ella turned over a new leaf. These precious moments of her sleeping became more and more rare.
Here we attempted to get some sister pictures, but every time Ella got close to Ava, Ava lost her ability to smile normal. This pic looked the least painful.

At six weeks she was still not sleeping much and was on her second medication for acid reflux. We did have her 6 week checkup and Ella weighed in at 10lbs.1oz.(50%) she was 22.75in long(75%) and her head was in the 50th percentile. I don't know how she managed to be 10 pounds with the amount food she spit up!
Meanwhile, Ava has also kept up with her neighborhood friends. Below are some shots of Ava, Connor and Isabelle playing in the flowers and water.

More recently, we traveled to Grandma and Grandpa Carron's house. Dan had some work in Nashville so he dropped the girls and I off at my parents on the way. One of Ava's favorite things to do there was play in "her house" better known as the pantry. Every five minutes you could hear a voice from the kitchen shouting "won't you come in my house with me Grandma?".
Ella preferred another spot in the kitchen....the sink! She loves being in the water.
By eight weeks old Ella had been switched to soy formula and was showing signs of improvement. She is now much happier!
That brings us up to last weekend. On Sunday we went out to Grandma and Grandpa Fritz's house for a BBQ with family. Ava was thrilled to see what G-pa had been up to....installing a swing! This picture does not do the swing justice...it goes SO high. This was the only picture you could see Ava clearly, all the others she was so high she blended in with the trees.

Ava also has a new talent.....somersaults. She does them pretty well as long as she going downhill.

(sorry for the poor quality)

G-pa was also nice enough to install a tire swing so we had something to do while pushing Ava. I tried but there was no way to get out of trying out the tire swing myself.
