I don't know which is harder to believe, that Ella and Ashton are already one year old, or that I took two... four and a half hour road trips in the same month. Just when I had everything unpacked and the laundry done from Tennessee, the girls and I packed up and drove to Indiana for Ashton's 1st birthday party! The car ride was uneventful, which is good. However, as I expected, Ella did not like sleeping in a pack-n-play. After not much sleep the first night, she came down with a cold. Despite the lack of sleep, we had a great time. Ava and Ella both behaved great and the birthday boy seemed to have fun and LOVED his cake. Unfortunately, I did not get a good b-day boy picture...this is the best I did:(
Dan was out of town for work the past week but he flew into Indy to make it to the party. He also joined us for the ride home, for which I am grateful!
As the only other children at the party, Ava and Ella thought it was their responsibility to help Ashton with the opening of his gifts....so much help!
And here are my two little angels all dressed up and ready for the party!
