We started September with Ava returning to school and by the first weekend the girls got to attend they're first wedding. Dan's cousin Kelly and her fiance Dan were getting married. Ava went to Linzy and Brian's wedding too, but she was only 9 months, so I don't think she remembers it. Ava couldn't wait to dance at the wedding, but she was also excited about the photo booth. They even had dress up clothes...we definitely got our fair share of pictures.
By the time the dancing was underway, the girls were winding down. Ava and Daddy were able to dance a few songs.
And Grandpa F took Ella for a spin. She was getting VERY tired, but she hung in there. Both girls behaved great and both were exhausted by the time we left...it was the quietest car ride I've had in a long time.
We had a few days of nice weather so we tried to take advantage of it between Ella's naps. Ava loves to draw with chalk. I tried to take pics of her artwork, but because of the color she used the pics didn't really turn out. Ella on the other hand just wants to carry the chalk around like a purse...it's the first thing she wants when we go outside and she carries it around forever.
Back inside the girls have been trying to help with the chores...such as laundry...whether or not they actually help is debatable.
We also recently tried to take the girls to an air show, however after waiting forever in traffic to get there, we turned around and went to a park instead. You may notice Ella's forehead bruise, all I can say is it's becoming a permanent fixture. As soon as one bruise starts fading she takes another nose dive and gives herself another one. She is not afraid of anything and has the battle wounds to prove it.
It was nice for us to have a day all together just us. Even if most of the day was spent in the car.
Ava's class had their first field trip. They went to Suson park and went on a nature walk and then walked through the barn and checked out the farm animals.
Over the next week we have some big changes going on. Although we have loved Ava's experience at Faith Lutheran School we have decided to switch schools. We are hoping for Ava to be challenged a little more when it comes to learning concepts that will help prepare her for kindergarten. We also want her to continue to love school and have fun! Later today Ava will be returning to dance class at a different studio than last year. This studio incorporates acrobatics with tap and ballet, so hopefully she will enjoy it. If she loves the class half as much as she loves the shoes we are set!!
