Ella's birthday month has begun! Ava has had numerous "friend" parties over the years and because Ella's birthday falls during the summer I have gotten off easy so far with not doing the same for her. She has always been content having a swim party with family at G-ma and G-pa's house. However, this year she asked if she could please have a bounce party. Luckily, her friend Emma's birthday is only a few weeks before Ella's and since she wanted a bounce party too (and they have the same friends), we decided to do the party together! Here is the whole party gang.
I did my best at taking photos during the party, but it was total chaos with small children running everywhere. Here is one of the birthday girl before heading up the slide (her favorite part).
The party worker tried to enforce the rules of using a mat and going down one at a time, but after a few minutes he gave up and abandoned his post. There were then 8-10 kids all climbing up the steps at the same time and then all going down at the same time…like I said…total chaos!
The kids did do a pretty good job of watching out for Gavin on the slide at first. It wasn't long and he was right in the huddle at the end of the slide.
Ella never slowed down running from slide, to nerf guns, to batting cage and so on.
Gavin, as usual tried to keep up although his favorite girl, Aubree, was in attendance, so he spent A LOT of time hanging out with her.
Ella climbing the velcro wall…I don't think she ever made it past the yellow boxes that are above her head in this picture, but it was not due to lack of effort!
Gavin gave up on the velcro wall very quickly and went to shoot some hoops.
And he even bounced a little with his friend Emma.
After an hour or more of bouncing it was time for pizza, cake and more pictures!
Gavin of course grabbed a seat next to his girl Aubree.
Birthday girls together….
make a wish!!
Towards the end of the party Gavin was spent. He looked like he was ready to pass out.
He didn't even have the energy to smile normal!?
The girls had a great time at their party and I'm sure Ella will never again settle for just a family swim party. Also for those who may have noticed the size difference in Ella and Emma….they are in fact the same age, but while Ella is one of the smallest in her class, Emma is one of the tallest…BFF's!!
We opted to open gifts all together at our house. We thought with so many gifts and two birthday girls this would be a good idea?? Not so much…we got it figured out, but it got a bit crazy! You may also notice Ava finally appearing in a picture. She was not able to attend the bounce party due to her pom camp. I checked ahead of time with her before registering for the camp, and she said as long as she will get to celebrate with Ella too she is ok with missing the Bounce U party.
This last picture is one of the girls with their favorite gift…go figure it is the one from each other!
Already a whole post and it's not even her actual birthday yet!!
