Goodbye Soccer, Hello Snow

Where do I start??  Back in mid-November Gavin had his last soccer practice.  After telling me every Wednesday for 9 weeks that he did NOT want to play soccer, on this, the tenth and final Wednesday, he said "Mom, me LOVE soccer!".

We are taking a short break in hopes that his love and desire for soccer will grow stronger before we PAY for another session.  Here is Gavin with a few of the boys from his class.
(Ray, Cullen, Frankie and Gavin)

I tried to think of the last time I remember getting a good snow BEFORE thanksgiving, but I couldn't tell you how long ago it happened.  We got about 3-4 inches and the kids were loving it!

It was so cold, but that didn't stop them from playing outside till I finally made them come in after almost two hours!  We also found a great place to keep track of them while they play in the snow….on the deck!  They enjoyed sweeping off the snow and making "towers" of snow.  Here is Ava and Ella's "tower"….WOW!

Before confining them to the deck Dan went out and did some sledding.  Ava braved the hill riding solo!

Gavin would probably ride solo if we let him, but he'd also probably end up in the woods.

And Ella could probably handle the sled alone, but she is still a bit nervous to take on "the hill".

Luckily the snow came over a weekend and was under control by Monday morning.  The kids were hoping to miss some school, but I was grateful that there were no snow days in November!
