Olympics

I can't believe it has been almost a month since my last post. I blame the Olympics...specifically Michael Phelps. All of my free time has been spent watching swimming, gymnastics, water polo, soccer, and even ping pong! Now that the Olympics are over I am back to the computer and will hopefully not let another whole month pass. So, when we were not watching T.V. we still kept busy. Ava has continued her play dates. Here she is with Isabelle...I can't say what they were so interested in?
Here Ava and her friend Mallory were relaxing in the ball pit.
We also recently took a family trip to the World Bird Sanctuary. "Bird" was one of Ava's first words and is one of her favorite words to say so we thought the bird sanctuary would be perfect. Here is our little owl....
We stayed for one of the shows at the sanctuary and Dan volunteered to have a bird land on his arm and take a soda can out of his hand....look at that brave face!!
This picture was not only posted because I thought it was cute, but it is also rare for Ava not to be fighting having her hand held. It didn't last long!
For those who don't already know, Ava has Dan and I wrapped around her little finger. All it takes is for her little face to light up when she sees something and she usually gets it. We do realize we need to slow down or her expectations will be way beyond our means. Not to mention she's only 18 months!! Anyway, below is another recent purchase of a playhouse for Ava. The goal was to give her something to play on outside and distract her from eating grass and throwing mulch. Dan and I were outside late putting this together so the next morning we brought Ava out in her pajamas.
Here she's talking on her phone.
The slide was a BIG hit!
I will end with a health update. Last Friday was Ava's 18 month checkup. Ava is 32.5 inches
tall(75%), she is 21 pounds(10%), and her head size is still average. At this rate she will be taller than me way too soon!!!
