October Fun

Part 1: We started our October/Halloween activities by
visiting the Pumpkin Patch, where Ava got to pick out her very own pumpkin.
She also got to ride on a pumpkin horse...I don't think she understood what this was suppose to be, and therefore she was not a big fan.
I thought she might enjoy spinning in the tire, but she just looked around trying to figure out who the other little girl was.
We tried one of the tire swings...we were not ready for a swing that doesn't have a seat belt.
Before measuring her height Ava wanted to give the pumpkin a hug...what a sweet little girl.
Although this maze was meant for the older kids Ava loved running around and going down the slides. Except for the tunnel slide which she flipped around and came out head first.
Overall the pumpkin patch was a success and a lot of fun!

Part 2: The weekend after the pumpkin patch was Ava's first Halloween Party. We went to our annual party at the Luina's where they had tons of activities planned. Here Ava is participating in the hunt for bones out in the yard.
Ava also decorated her own pumpkin plate...I meant to get a picture of the finished
product but I forgot. There was also toys, food, a chili cook off and good company...we had a great time.
Part 3: On the morning of Halloween Ava got to attend her second party. On Friday mornings we have been going to a playgroup and last Friday was our costume party. Below is Ava taking a swing at the ghost pinata.
Here is the mad rush for the candy that fell out of the pinata. Ava just stood back and waited for people to hand her candy. Hopefully she was being polite and not lazy!
There was also a sticker activity for the kids, which everyone was really excited about...at least for a few minutes.
There was also a candy hunt outside and plenty of food and snacks. It was so cute to see all the kids dressed up. It did cross my mind to get a picture of everyone together, but with eight kids it was hopeless.
Part 4: The last part of our Halloween festivities was on Halloween night. We got together with some neighbors...the same kids Ava spent most of her summer with. Sidney was Pooh Bear, Ava was a pumpkin, Isabelle was a Bunny(she did not last long in her costume), and Connor was a Tiger. They were all adorable!!
We took the kids trick-or-treating for a short trip around the block and while they didn't actually say "trick or treat" they still got plenty of treats!
October was a busy month and now we are ready to relax and enjoy this gorgeous weather!!
