Countdown begins...

With 3.5 weeks left before baby #2 arrives we are trying to get the house ready and enjoy the weather as much as possible. The basement is not totally finished but it's far enough along that it is currently being used as a big toy room..which Ava enjoys. The baby's room is pretty much done, clothes are washed, bottles are ready, and Ava's getting use to the baby toys being around. After many discussions we believe we have a name for baby #2. I must add the disclaimer that it may still change if Dan hears or comes up with a name he finds more suitable. As for right now her name will be Ella Grace....Ava and Ella both top the charts of popularity but what can we do...they're our favorites too. Ava understands what is happening as much as a two year old can. She likes talking about her little sister and says she wants to meet her, but once she's here her attitude may change....we try to remain hopeful. I have been trying not to let this pregnancy slow me down too much. Ava and I have been going to play dates and parks and spending a lot of time outside. We recently met Ava's friend Noah at the park. Here Ava is showing off that million dollar smile.
Ava and Noah enjoyed racing to and from the playground in the nearby field.
Last Friday Ava and I took a trip to Grant's Farm to see some animals. She liked hearing the birds make so much noise.
Her favorite part of Grant's Farm was balancing on the curb all around the park. Give this child a curb to balance on and a bar to hang from and she is in heaven. I definitely see gymnastics in her future.
Another smile!!
Over Memorial Weekend we attended Dan's cousin Lisa's graduation party. Ava had fun playing all the sports outside. Below she is showing off her new ability to give a thumbs up. She does this over and over again saying "okedokey."(not sure on that spelling?)
A little washers....
and some soccer kept her busy for a little while.
On Memorial Day we took Ava to the St. Peters Rec Plex to test out her love of water this year. We found that as long as the water was not splashing her in the face then she enjoyed it.
In my current state I opted not to put on the swim suit and get in the water. I stayed on the sidelines taking pictures while Daddy and Uncle Brad did the swimming.
Overall I think she'll do well this summer in the pool.
Otherwise, things are calm around here. I'm trying to enjoy the down time since that will all change soon. A little over 3 weeks left and I am ready to not be pregnant! The baby is doing well and growing more and more each week...as am I. We hope you're all doing well and we'll keep you updated!
