We decided to introduce Ava to the Wii last weekend. This was Ava's favorite game...it's a balancing game where you are standing on a board and trying to get a ball in a hole. You can't see the game in this clip but Dan and I were cracking up at Ava's moves. ENJOY! (sorry you have to turn your head to the side)
Ella was not going to sit by while Ava got all the attention so last Thursday she started rolling over. Ever since then I've been trying to catch it on camera. I had to get a little sneaky but here's a clip...it's a little long but she does eventually make it! You'll also notice her hands in her mouth. Her hands are ALWAYS in her mouth and from what I can tell I think she's getting two teeth on her lower jaw. Rolling over and getting teeth at only three and a half months old....I'm in trouble!
On another note, I would like to warn parents who are about to potty train their children to think twice! While it has been great not to have to change Ava's diapers, it has not been so great running errands with Ava. Not that running an errand with a 2 year old was pleasant before, but now it's more frustrating than ever. Here is an example....Last Sunday I needed to run in Home Depot and get some outdoor lights and run to Target for some formula. I had both girls with me which would usually make me want to stay home, but we were out of formula so I had to go out. As soon as we entered Home Depot I could smell Ella's rear end. So I headed straight to the bathroom to change her diaper. Once I got the car seat and Ava back in the cart Ava said those 6 dreaded words "I have to go potty mom". So we went back in the bathroom, she went, and we were on our way. Next stop was Target...as soon as we walked in the store I heard it again "I have to go potty mom". We proceeded to the bathroom where she tried but then said she didn't have to go anymore. Did I mention yet that Ella and her car seat are ridiculously heavy! Anyway, we made it through Target, which did not have Ella's formula so we headed to Babies 'r' Us. As you all are probably suspecting, yes, we did get to see their bathroom too! By the time we were done running around we had spent two hours going to three store that are all within a minute of each other. Again, I am grateful to be through the potty training and I am thankful Ava took to it so well, however there are a lot of inconveniences I was not prepared for... so parents...consider yourself warned!
