I can hardly believe it myself but Ava is now three years old! Ava had her three year checkup and is in great health. She was 28 pounds(20%) and 38.5in tall(75%) and her head was still in the 50th percentile. We celebrated her birthday all weekend starting with a princess party with some of her friends. It got a little crazy with preparing food, taking care of Ella and having seven 3 year olds running around so I didn't get a lot of pictures. Here she is while we were all singing happy birthday. Sorry the photo turned out so dark.
The festivities continued that night when grandparents and family came over to celebrate. Over the last year Ava really came out of her shell. She now can't wait to sing and dance for anyone who will watch and clap! She performed some of her favorites while she opened her gifts.
One of her favorite parts of turning three was the cupcakes! Ava can't seem to get enough sweets these days
Sunday night we went to dinner just the four of us. We had the servers sing to Ava...she was a little nervous, but loved the attention.
As much as I can't believe Ava is already three I also can't believe Ella is 8 months! Ella has been a whole new baby the last month. She now crawls more often, but still drops down to the belly if she's in a hurry. She can now pull up to standing and tries to take 1-2 steps holding onto something. She loves to babble! She gets into everything and prefers things that are not toys! Such as dvds, any paper products, and shoes. She also loves to eat, but not the baby food she is suppose to eat. Ella prefers real food...she loves corn, bread, peas, cheese and her favorite are Gerber puffs! Things sure are different with the second child...I did not let Ava have any food till she was one, but Ella was so persistent I finally gave in and she eats everything...within reason. The picture below is one of Ella's favorite places to be...she crawls under the kitchen chairs and pulls the tags off the bottom of the chairs!
