Walking and Wedding Talk

I wanted to give a quick update on Ava. She is no longer the shy timid little girl who stayed close to her parent's legs, she has blossomed into quite a performer! She loves to sing, dance, and most of all be a princess! She can be VERY dramatic, and seems to be 3 going on 13.

To give an example of our "pre-teen".....she informed me a few weeks ago that she is planning to marry her friend Sydney when she grows up. She was later crushed to hear that Sydney already has plans to marry her friend Brett (another boy from their class). Ava's spirits were soon lifted back up when Sydney told Ava she could marry her and Brett. So as soon as she's old enough to wed Ava plans to marry her friends Sydney and Brett! Is it me or is this "crazy talk"? I don't remember having these discussions when I was three! Anyway, Sydney was at our house recently playing Ava's favorite thing...princesses! Here they are on their thrones.
Moving on to our other "princess", Ella has been growing leaps and bounds lately. She's not only gotten bigger, but more mobile and smarter. She now knows where her belly, hands, head, ears and feet are. She can point out other people's nose, but not her own yet. She says mama and dada and tries to copy other words you say...although I think we're the only one's who understand her. She can point out a fan, window, books and more. She's also following simple commands such as "pick up" and "sit down". She hears "sit down" all day long because the child will not sit still! It doesn't matter if she's strapped in or not she will wiggle till she finds a way out of any seat...not fun!!! As promised LONG ago I have a video of her jumping in her jumper, which she still loves....she'll jump for quite awhile. And finally, the biggest news of all, she is now walking! Yesterday she decided she'd had enough crawling and took off. She's still getting her balance, but now walks more than crawls! I still can't believe she's almost one!!!
