Finally some sun!

After what seems like weeks of cold weather and horrible storms, we finally had some WARM sun today! We were hoping for some warm temperatures before our trip to Florida so we could get the girls in some water. Particularly Ella, who showed some early signs of hating water, heat and sunlight. So this morning we got out the hose and let the girls play in the water. Ava, of course, had no trouble taking charge of the hose.

Ella came out with a different approach. She did not want the water to get on her, she would rather get in some sunbathing.
After a minute or two she was daring enough to get her feet wet in the puddles.

And then moved on to hosing Ava down.

But then quickly realized how wet she was and decided to dry off.

It was only a matter of time though before she was loving the hose!

She would laugh hysterically every time she got someone wet.

She eventually decided she wanted a little shower too.

Then changed her mind and ran to the towels to dry off her face!

Ava took the very lady-like approach to getting a drink....

Ella preferred her cup.

Lastly, once there was a significant amount of water at the end of the driveway, Ava decided to do some puddle jumping.

Ella was a bit more calm...not typical!

Both girls had so much fun playing in the water, which gave us a new found hope for our Florida trip. It will be here very soon!
