Well, we survived the first day of school! Ava transitioned to the Fireflies room, which is considered their junior kindergarten room. And Ella had her first day away from Mommy in the Rainbow room.
Ava did great! She was very excited to move to the Fireflies room. The school has just incorporated a smart board to help with lesson plans in the room and recently gave a demonstration....Ava talked all afternoon about how she loved using the smart board.

Ella had a rough day. She started off OK at home and was excited to wear her backpack, although it was huge on her and she would not let go of her "blanket"! But once we got to the school she just kept saying "I wanna go home, hold me mommy, I wanna go home". This did not make it easy on me, I felt so bad leaving her there while she screamed for me.

When I got back to pick them up Ava was still in good spirits and Ella was actually tear free. They said she cried on and off all day and never did let go of her blanket, but she did have some good moments. And, despite how upset she seemed, when asked if she had a good day and fun at school, she said "yes!" I was just thrilled she made it the whole time without any potty accidents!
We'll have to see how Wednesday goes with school, hopefully Ella adjusts fast and enjoys the school as much as Ava does.
I have been meaning to update the blog for awhile now, but there hasn't been much to update. The girls and I have been taking it easy just playing around the house most days. It has been so hot outside and I am SO pregnant I haven't been too keen on being out and about. Ava and Ella have been the best of friends lately. They play together all the time whether it be dress up, house, or their own made up game. The other day I did have to grab the camera when Ella had on Ava's old tap shoes and they were dancing around in their Ariel dresses. Ella copied whatever Ava did.

They do still have moments when they are at each other throats, but overall they get along great. Ava does her best to watch out for Ella and tries to take on the motherly role whenever possible, or whenever Ella will let her.

They are two girls always full of energy, to which I can't imagine adding a little boy, but even they need a short rest once in awhile.
I am guessing even if I have great intentions this may be my last post till our new little man arrives. We are two weeks away now and everyday I think of something else that needs to be done, although I have no energy to do anything! I can't believe we are having a boy and at each doctor's appt. I have it reconfirmed. Ava is VERY excited and will be a lot of help. Ella is less than thrilled and when I mention that I will have to take care of the baby and hold the baby, she responds with "no, mommy hold me!" We are going to have our work cut out for us, but we are definitely getting excited!
