I can't believe Easter has already come and gone and we are quickly approaching May! We had a good Easter this year with tons of activities. We started Easter festivities in March with an egg hunt at the school. The girls were excited, but did not understand that we were going to an Easter egg hunt and seeing the Easter bunny, but it wasn't Easter??
The pressure of the first egg hunt weighed heavily on Ella...she was stressed out trying to grab eggs while everyone was running around.
After the hunt we went inside to see the bunny. While the girls were not up to sitting on his lap and posing for a "professional" picture, they did go give him a hug. First Ava made sure it was safe...
then Ella followed...
We took a little time off and then came actual Easter.
On Easter morning we went over to Uncle Brian and Aunt Linzy's house for another egg hunt and brunch with Grandma and Grandpa C. Here are Ava, Ella and Ashton in mid-hunt...I'm shocked they all sat still long enough for a picture.

The girls even stopped one more time before finishing the hunt.
By the time the egg hunt was underway, Gavin was spent. He was so tired yet determined not to miss anything and managed to stay awake for the whole hunt then passed out on my shoulder.

The kids finished the hunt and then dropped right down to go through their treasure buckets. After that they all needed some down time.

We took this opportunity to pile back up in the car and head to Grandma and Grandpa F's house for more celebrating. After the short 15 min. car nap the girls were ready for more. Upon arriving at G-ma and G-pa F's house the girls started yet another egg hunt, just the two of them.

Between that egg hunt and the next one...yes another one...the girls set up some chairs for them and their animals to rest. And Gavin took an actual nap.

After a short while it was time for the final egg hunt. This one included adults so we gave the kids a few minutes head start, you can barely see Braden behind his sister Katelyn. Should be interesting next year when Braden and Gavin will be more involved.
I again asked the girls to freeze and smile for some quick pics. Ava obliged.

Ella...not so much.

The girls ended up with more stuff, candy, food etc. than we know what to do with, but they had a blast. Happy Easter to all and I leave you with one more picture of all the cousins on my side...even little London at 5 weeks old. This is the first picture we've gotten of her since we tried to keep our kids and germs away from her for as long as possible. It's overdue but....Welcome to the family London Drue!

Gavin(7 mon.), Ava(5), Ashton(2), London(5 wks.), Ella(2)
