T-Ball

We have started our first sporting activity...T-Ball.  Ava started t-ball last Monday and so far so good.  She was excited and nervous but slowly warmed up.  She liked batting.
She started practice by playing catch with her new friend Hazel.
She did a descent job of tossing the ball.
Catching was a little more difficult.  The next day her legs had bruises from the ball slipping right through her fingers and/or glove.  Here's her tough face...
By the end of practice it was starting to get pretty chilly and Ava was getting cold.  She did good though and finished the practice with no complaints.  She's looking forward to next week, although the high is again in the low 60's.
One other side note on Ava, she has become quite the artist.  She loves drawing pictures and everyday when I pick her up from school she has numerous drawings from the day.  One picture stands out as my personal favorite.  Everyday for about two weeks she would bring home the same picture of what she says is her map home. The bottom building is school and at the top is home.  She said she drew a map so she could always find her way home to me.  I love this picture and I love my sweet Ava.
