Finally!

Well, it only took 5 years but we finally got some REAL family photos taken.  We enjoy taking photos and messing around, but lets be serious, we're a long way from our pictures turning out like these.  Here are some of my favorites...
Ava did a good job.  I think she's finally through the awkward smile phase and more often than not her pictures turned out great.
Ella tried.  Ella has an incredible infectious smile when she's not trying, but if she is told to smile she acts as if she doesn't know what the word means.  I have posted the best of the best of Ella and other than these photos, there was a lot of awkward looks and blank stares.  She's only three and if I remember correctly Ava still had some interesting looks at this age.
All I can say about Gavin, is that he is only one.  He wouldn't look at the camera, he only smiled in two pictures including this one where he was asked "where are your shoes?".  I wasn't expecting much and was just glad he didn't throw any big fits!  He has been walking everywhere now, but the strange camera girl made him nervous and all the leaves and goose poo on the ground were too interesting, so we didn't get any pictures of him on his feet.  Fingers crossed for Halloween pictures.
This is a better representation of how most of the pictures turned out.  If one was looking then the other one wasn't. If one was smiling then the other one was well, not sure what you would call this...
It was an exhausting hour, but so neat to be able to look at pictures that actually capture us
just the way we are...for the most part.  :)
