We started off February with getting ready for Valentine's day and lots of birthdays! Ava's class put on a Valentine's Day Program at school, which was so cute. They sang a few songs and made some very pretty crowns and hearts. Ava also had a "carnival" like event at school earlier that day, which is why she has face paint on her cheek.
I tried to upload a video of one of the songs her class sang, but the computer kept saying there was an error, hopefully it works? If so, Ava is in the front row second from the right.
Ella also had a class party complete with games, crafts and cupcakes!
During one of the games she got to sit next to HENRY! For those who haven't heard Henry is VERY important to Ella! And according to Henry's Mom, Ella is his favorite friend. Even their teacher says they are almost inseparable. It started with being on the same soccer team and the love has just flourished ever since! :)
Since Ella only has school for half the day she had to say bye to Henry and be my valentine for the rest of the day.
This was the first year that the girls made official valentine mailboxes and other than getting out the supplies and helping when asked, I had no part with the box designs. Here is the front view...

Valentine's Day has never been a busy Holiday for me, but it seemed like a crazy week this year. I'm assuming once Gavin starts school it will only get crazier!
To kill time between school parties and birthday parties we've just been hanging out at home, watching Zoe triple and then some in size, and try to fight off colds.
It seems like all winter long Ella and Gavin have just been passing a nasty cold virus back and forth. Here is a shot of Ella on a healthy day wrestling with Zoe. I thought Ava would be the dog queen, but Ella is pretty close with Zoe and can play rough without tears! Ava tends to only play chase with Zoe and once caught by Zoe there's almost always tears.
Along with being more of a dog person, Ella is also more stubborn, more crazy and more needy!
And most importantly more of a caretaker! She is the first person to volunteer to help with dishes, laundry, cleaning and any favors that I may have to hand out.
Gavin on the other hand, is all about Gavin! He is a sweet little boy, but definitely wants what he wants when he wants it, as most one year olds do! He is also very in touch with his princess side. Here he is with his crown and his car phone, or should I say his car that he's using as a phone!
Only one week to go before our first baby will be 6!!!
(Pretend that I posted this the week of Valentine's Day)
