Last Wednesday, Ava and the rest of her class celebrated their first Reconciliation. Ava was really nervous about what to tell the priest, she could only think of one thing she has done wrong a few years ago! I helped her out a little with her lapse in memory, then she was ready to go into confession.
After confession she got to add her flame to the large flame cut out to symbolize their spirits. She wanted Dad's help to get it up high.
Then we got to light a candle for more symbolism.
Lastly, the whole class got together to sing this little light of mine. Not sure if you can see her but Ava is just left of the middle in the front row.
It was a lovely service that ended with juice and cookies…Ava's favorite! Only a few more months and we get to move on to the next sacrament…First Communion.
There was one more big milestone over the weekend…Fiona turned one!!
I tried to get some good photos at her birthday party and these were two of my favorites. What a sweet little girl who's now officially walking!
Happy 1st birthday Fiona!!
