Parish Picnic 2015

Rides, friends, games, prizes and fireworks, what else could we ask for? Maybe a little less heat!?!  The kids had another great year at the parish picnic.  While I'll take the heat over the rain we had last year, it would have been nice if it wasn't SO hot.  I just want a nice sunny 75' next year, not too much to ask for in my opinion.  The girls started off on a favorite, the ferris wheel.  You may notice Ella's friend Emma again.  I'm going to stop calling her "Ella's friend Emma" now because with how much they are together if you don't know who Emma is then you need to go back READ my posts, not just look at the pictures :).  The tallest and the shortest in their class...the friendship was meant to be.

Gavin also wanted to start the day on the ferris wheel.  He had his hands up the entire ride and when we got to the top he yelled "Mom, I'm flying!!"…so cute!

After the ferris wheel the kids wanted to try the big slide.  As in years past Ava and Gavin needed Dad there for support .

Where as Ella preferred to slide solo.  She is so fearless sometimes!

Gavin was able to keep up with the girls this year running from ride to ride.  He almost looks like the guy on his shirt.

He was still very into riding on the bikes and cars that SLOWLY go around in a circle...
and the trucks, which Ava joined him for.  Just when I think Ava prefers the slower no-thrill rides...

she surprises me.  She loves the swings.  My stomach was turning just watching them.

Here's Ella and Emma.  They all liked the swings and would ride them a couple times in a row and then have to take a break so they wouldn't get sick.  Ohh to be a kid again.

For a nice slow option they headed to the elephants.

Decent height but brutally slow :)
This is where I had to stop carrying around the big camera due to the sweat collecting under the strap.  Like I said the kids made it to the fireworks and had so much fun.  We ended the day way beyond exhausted!!
