Unlike Ava, who after learning about baptism couldn't wait to get baptized, Ella was in no rush. Don't get me wrong, she wanted to be baptized, but as someone who does not like to be the center of attention, she was very nervous. With only 40ish days left before her class was to receive their First Reconciliation, time was running out. Ella decided get baptized in front of her class/friends instead of on a random Sunday with strangers. However, when the fifth grade class unexpectedly came to watch she got very nervous. She handled herself very well participating in all the right parts, and in the end I think she enjoyed the attention.
Monsignor Norb was VERY generous with the water!
Ella and her new Godparents, Uncle Brad and Aunt Erin.
After the Baptism Ella took her friends back to the school to enjoy some ice cream, and then we headed home for some gifts.
Ella got some beautiful gifts, and a special thank you to all those who made it to Ella's baptism, especially G-ma and G-pa C for driving in from TN!
