Ella is 8!

Just as in years passed, Ella had to share her birthday with recitals, camps, and other activities.  We did our best to make the day special for one very special little lady.  After Ava's dance recital we went to dinner at Chevy's.  It was Ella's choice, she doesn't even like Mexican food, but she does like that they had out dough balls for the kids to play with.  Then we came home, had ice-cream cake, and opened a few gifts.

Earlier that day was Ella's last day of soccer camp at Nerinx Hall.  I took the campers out for ice cream in Ella's honor.  Nothing like ice cream for lunch.

On Saturday Ella had her gymnastics party with some friends from school (plus siblings and cousins).  All her friends are hiding...

I think everyone had a good time and all three of mine want to start gymnastics, like, immediately.  "Right kids, let me just pencil that in."

That evening, which was gorgeous by the way, was our annual trip to the Muny to see "The Little Mermaid".  We could not have gotten any luckier with the weather.  We actually used blankets and cuddled to stay warm, where as the day before I think I was sweating inside my ears.

Ella and Gavin chatting with the orchestra while they were trying to warm up...

Then, Ella's birthday celebration continued on Sunday with her family party.  G-ma's and G-pa, aunts and uncles, cousins and family all came over to help us give Ella a special 8th birthday.  This little girl is smart, beautiful, talented, obsessed with soccer, organized 💜, a bit sassy, and so lucky to have so many people who love her so much!
Happy birthday Ella!
Here's to another great year, minus our annual trip to the ER next spring, please!
