Competition time has arrived. Ava is in four competition routines this year. Here are three of her costumes, I am missing her hip hop costume, oops.
"Ay Caramba" is Ava's jazz routine this year. It has done very well and was Ava's favorite dance.
"Step Into The Magic" is Ava's first lyrical routine. It's a cute dance, but perhaps too cute for the judges this year. Ava likes lyrical, but hopes to have a more "grown up" routine next year. LOL
"Cha Cha" and her hip hop, "Can't Stop This Feeling", were super group routines, which means they include lots of dancers. This is the Cha Cha group, it was another judge favorite this year. Can you find Ava? (hint: she's in pink)
Ella had her Grandparents Day at school...Thank you G-ma F for coming!!
Gavin's obsession with Legos continues to grow. He got this set for Easter from G-ma and G-pa C and spent about 10 hours building it one day, breaking only for meals. He cannot get enough Legos!
Gavin also got to go to the Cardinal game with Dad...he was very excited.
Dejavu...
If you remember last year about this time, we were at this same hospital with this same child having her appendix removed. This year we're in for a different reason. Ella guest played for another soccer team in a tournament, during which, she took a HARD hit and broke her arm. She broke the head of her left radius which was also slightly dislocated. She was sedated while they realigned everything and put it in a splint.
The videos of Ella waking up are definitely something to be seen! After a week she was put into a hard cast for the next 3 weeks. LUCKILY, nothing shifted in the splint so she did not require surgery. Needless to say she was NOT happy to be missing out on the end of her Gallagher spring outdoor and SMMA indoor sessions.
However, she didn't miss out on everything soccer related. She cheered on her indoor team as they played their last game and clenched first place in their division!
A few fun pics from Ava's third competition, next up...nationals! So proud of how she continues to grow as a dancer. 💕
Notice anything odd about Gavin's bike? Yep, it's missing the training wheels!! We are oficially a training wheel-free house. Within an hour of taking the training wheels off, he wanted me to take him to a "bike park" so he can go off some ramps. I swear he is 5 going on 15.
Speaking of growing up too fast...Gavin's class got to eat in the cafeteria with the "big" kids in preparation for kindergarten next fall. They seemed so little in there, but I'm sure I'll blink and he will be going into 5th grade like Ava (OMG, 5th grade!?😢).
About two weeks before he got out of preschool Gavin's class put on their spring program, full of songs, props, and cookies. Gavin and his friend Louis did a great job. I gave up trying to post videos on this site, it never seems to work.
