At almost sixteen months Ava has more energy than ever. She is learning new things everyday and trying so hard to talk...so far I'm the only one who speaks the language of "Ava." She is constantly surprising me by showing me what she's learned even when I don't think she's paying attention. A prime example of this is caught below when she took the nail clippers out of the basket and tried to trim her nails. She also recently got the broom out of the cabinet and tried to sweep the floor, and when I suggested eggs for breakfast she brought me some of her Easter eggs from her playroom.
This is Ava right after a bath and I just love those big blue eyes !
We recently had a big outing to the Magic House with Ava's new neighborhood friend Isabelle. I captured a few of their favorite activities, but getting their attention proved to be impossible. Here they are playing in water....I should have used the flash...sorry!
This little ball pit was by far Ava's favorite
The sandbox was fun, but we had a hard time keeping the sand in the box!
The Magic House was a hit and we'll have to go back. The giant static ball was out of order and that is a picture that must be taken.A visitor, my friend and old roommate, Ashley, stopped by and Ava warmed up to her right away. Here they are playing with Mr. Moose.
We also paid a visit to Bush Stadium last Saturday. If you recall, we went to a cards game last summer and I stated something to the effect of not doing it again for a long time! Well, I am happy to report Ava did much better. Other than the initial shock of sitting so close to so many strangers...she did great. Of course at 15 months old she did not want to sit on my lap for nine innings so Dan and I traded some time walking around with her. After Dan treated her to some Dip 'n Dots she was good for the last two innings.
