Overprotective? I think not!

There were a lot of people who assumed I would be an overprotective mom. That my kids hands would never be dirty, their knees would never be scrapped, and their skin would never be sunburned. We'll contrary to popular belief Ava has been filthy dirty after digging in the mud in the front yard and her knees have both been scrapped up after numerous falls outside. However, Ava has yet to be sunburned. Here Ava and Daddy are getting ready to swim. No sunburns and no drownings are taking place with me around!!

I consider this cautious not over protective!!

A new addition to the toy room took place last week....it is a ridiculously large ball pit. Ava's eyes lit up when she saw all the balls!

I now find myself each day trying to figure out a way to wear Ava out!! The more she runs, jumps and screams the better. The other day an opportunity presented itself. I took Ava outside to "wear her out" and I also had the sprinkler on. I did not plan on her running through the sprinkler since it was already 7:30 and I did not want to do the whole bath routine. However, once outside keeping her out of the sprinkler was not worth the battle. I was able to get some pretty funny pics too...she was constantly surprised when the water kept coming back to get her!
